Invite Grantees to Apply for Funding Without a NoFA / RFP
You can send an invite to any existing Grantee Organization without posting a NoFA (RFP). This feature is best used for continuation grants but can also be used for sole source grants when appropriate. Note: the Organization must already be registered in DD Suite — you cannot invite a brand-new Organization this way.
How it Works
The Council sends an invite to the prospective Grantee.
Choose ‘Projects’ then ‘New Manual Grant’ (upper right).
Leave the Organization field blank. (Do not pick an Organization unless you intend to fill in the Work Plan and Budget yourself.)
Complete the Setup Page as usual (Project Number, Project Title, Project Dates, Amount).
Under Select Project Sections choose ‘Yes’ for Work plan and Budget (if wanted).
Click Save and the following appears:
Click OK.
Click the Setup tab (upper left).
Click the ‘Invite Grantee’ button (next to the Organization field).
The following page appears:
Select the Grantee Organization from the dropdown. Hint: With the dropdown open, type the first letters of the Organization’s name to jump to it.
10. Type an optional message to the Grantee.
11. Click ‘Send Invite’, then click OK on the confirmation.
All verified users of the Grantee Organization will receive an email invitation, and the Grantee will see a ‘Grant Setup Required’ task with a link on their Dashboard under Notifications.
Good to know
12. The invite page shows whether Work Plan and Budget are turned on for the grant. Check them before sending — changing them after the Grantee accepts requires recalling the invite.
13. A pending invite expires after 30 days. Sending a new invite automatically revokes any prior pending invite on the grant.
14. From the Invite Grantee page you can also Resend Email or Revoke Invite for a pending invite.
15. If you manually assign an Organization on the Setup page instead, any pending invite is automatically revoked.
