Managing Performance Measures for a Grant or Activity
Funding Organizations may use differing terminology for this section. The terms used here are the DD Suite default terms.
Performance Measures are also called Performance Indicators, and are a mechanism for quantifying objectives.
On your dashboard, select the “Projects" module.
Select the number of the appropriate project from the list.
Select the Work Plan tab.
A view of the entire Work plan will appear. The Objectives, Activities and Performance Measures can be added, edited and removed from this one display. Objectives and Activities can be re-ordered via the up and down links.
Select the “Add Performance Measures" link for a specific objective.
The “Add Performance Measure for Objective…” page appears.
In the “Performance Measure” dropdown menu, select the performance measure that you want to add.
Funding organizations may define their own Performance Measures or Indicators using the "Performance Indicators" module. DD Councils will also see predefined Federal Measures, but independent funders will see only their own, custom indicators. Custom measures may have Sub Performance Indicators. See an example of this below. These Sub Performance Indicators will have multiple target numbers.
*Note: Current performance measures will contain only the Target Number field which is defined by the performance measure description. DD Councils can refer to Federal Requirements for Councils under System Overview.
Historically, Performance measures values had different categories or buckets.
The “Individuals w/ DD” field is the number of individuals with developmental disabilities who are projected to be reported under this performance measure.
The “Families w/ DD” field is the number of family members of individuals with developmental disabilities who are projected to be reported under this performance measure.
The “Number or Others affected” field is the number of other individuals or non-people measures projected to be reported under this performance measure, or whatever number the PM describes.
Custom Performance Measures with Sub Performance Measures:
Funders may have added custom performance measures which have sub measures. This type of measure will have multiple "sub" targets. Grantees will report on the subs and not on the parent measure.Select the “Save” button to save your work.
From the Work Plan page, add as many performance measures as needed to each objective. You can manage each performance measure by using the Action links.
Edit - change the projected numbers for a performance measure
Remove - remove a performance measure from the objective
