Grants Overview

Before making changes to a Grant, the Funding Organization staff must first Deactivate the grant. While the grant is deactivated, grantees will not be able to do their periodic reports. The grant must be valid before being Re-Activated.

Most grant actions - Clone, etc., are available when the Summary tab is selected.

Some funders have renamed their work plan labels using the Council Preferences. This practice can make it a little confusing as the Help documents use the original DD Suite labels of Objectives, Activities and Performance Measures.

Grantees Editing Grants

Visit the Funding Orgs -> Grants -> Actions -> Grantee Edit Process for the details.

Funders can allow grantees to edit their own grants. The funder will specify which of three sections the grantee may edit: People, Budget and/or Work Plan.

While the Grant is open for Grantee Edit and in Grantee Submit phase, Program Reports will be unavailable.

The Reports (view reports) and Attachments (add documents) buttons are always available.

The Grantee Edit process

  • Grantee makes whatever changes are needed in whatever tabs have been opened.

  • Once the edits are complete, the Grantee can Submit the Grant.

  • After Submit is clicked, a validation page will appear. The grantee will need to correct any errors before they can submit.

  • Once all errors are fixed, the grantee can Submit the grant.

  • The Funder will review the edits and Accept or Deny the Grant. If Accepted, Program Reports will become active. If Denied, the Grant is returned to the Grantee Edit state and the Grantee can continue to make changes.

Viewing the changes

While the grant has a status of "grantee edit" or "grantee submit", grantees can see all of the changes they have made on the Summary Tab.

Limit Staff Access

Limit Staff Access allows grantee organizations to prevent their staff from seeing and accessing either work plan or budget information. Funders will see a new access limit field in the People section of Project Summary for any grantee organization that has enabled Limit Staff Access. Read Limit Grantee Staff Access to learn more.

Funders will also see this new field (Again, only for grantee organizations who have enabled the feature.) on the People Tab and when editing grantee personnel.

  • No labels
