Managing Activities

*Note: If the Work Plan tab is visible, then at least one objective and activity must be added to the work plan before the application can be submitted.

Each objective must have at least one activity

Funding Organizations may use differing terminology for this section. The terms used here are system defaults. Also, some Funders provide specific instructions on what to enter in some fields of an application. Check the application instructions carefully.

  1. On your dashboard, select the “Applications” button.

  2. Select the “Project Title” link of the application you would like to edit.

  3. Select the "Work plan" tab.

  4. A view of the entire Work plan will appear. The Objectives, Activities and Performance Measures can be added, edited and removed from this one display. Objectives and Activities can be re-ordered via the up and down links.

  5. Select the “Add Activity link under it's associated Objective, or "Edit" to modify a specific activity.

The "Edit Activity to this Application” or "Add Activity to this Application” page appears.

  6. In the “Activity Id” field, enter the number for that particular activity by chronological order (i.e. 1 is the earliest activity).

  7. In the “Description” field, describe the major activity that will be undertaken to achieve the project objective. Activities should be stated in actionable terms.

  8. In the “Start Date” and “End Date” fields, provide the date at which you will begin the activity and the anticipated end date for completing that activity, respectively.

  9. In the “Staff List” field, identify the personnel who will be responsible for the activity.

  10. Select the “Save” button to save your work.

  11. Add as many activities as needed from the Work plan page. You can manage the activities by using the Action links, including reordering them with the ‘up’ or ‘down’ links.

    • Edit - change any of the information for an activity

    • Remove - remove an activity from the list

    • Up/Down - Move an activity up or down on the list (this does not change the Activity Id, just the order in which the objectives are displayed in the application)

  • No labels
