Letters of Interest (LOI)

...

When used, the Letter of Interest is the first phase of an application for potential granteesGrantees. As with NoFAs/RFPs, the applicant must have a verified account and organization Organization on DD Suite to respond to an LOI. They are required to answer all questions before submitting their Letter of Interest.

The Granting agency Funding Agency evaluates the LOI’s and approves or denies each one. If approved, the applicant Applicant is invited to complete the full grant application. DD Suite will move information into the application as was indicated in the LOI setup, and create an in-progress application for the applicant.

Getting Started

All NoFA/RFP's are posted together. When a grantee Grantee selects a NoFA/RFP from the list (either DD Suite home, or from the Dashboard), they either see a button "Apply for this Grant" (traditional full Application), or "Compose a Letter of Interest" (indicating there is an initial LOI phase).

LOI Process

Click on Compose a Letter of Interest, and start with the Set Up page. Once the Set Up page is Saved, the Outline and Support Docs tabs will be available. Complete these pages, and click on Validate and Submit.

The Funder will evaluate a submitted LOI, and either Invite the Grantee to Apply for the grant, or Deny the LOI.

If Invited to Apply, the grantee Grantee will get an email. When logged in, they will see an In-Progress Application in the Applications Module. Visit the Application Help pages Pages to continue.

To see additional, application-specific instructions, click on the NoFA/RFP link in the application.
